About the Team…
Hey, it’s the Crossroads Crew! Rachel, Alisha, Emily, and now Taylor make your experience with Crossroads Photography a fun time! We love documenting moments and laughing A LOT. Crossroads Photography was a dream of Rachel’s when she was a college kid at K-State and at a definite “crossroads” in her life… she loved her psychology major and dreamed of helping people, but didn’t know if she could sit in an office and deal with people like herself all day. Now, 8 years later, she is thrilled to have Alisha Crosley and Taylor Cooper by her side as super talented and let’s be real, just plain adorable associate photographers! Emily Tharp has been the best assistant and has been helping with mini sessions and children wrangling for at least 5 year now. Read on to learn more about the girls behind the camera!
The dream of Crossroads Photography began when my sister pinned me down my junior year of college with this question, “What do you really want to do?” I loved my major of psychology at K-State, but I knew God might have different ideas.
Photography began as a passion in my teens and has transformed into a career that helps provide for my family. I am so thankful to God for His faithfulness which turned a dream into a reality. I have met some of my best friends through this awesome career and I wouldn’t give up the chance to stay home raising my toddler for anything.
So who is the girl behind the lens? Well, I’m an introvert that can act a little crazy (I’ll do anything including “bock” like a chicken during our session to get a good smile) and a people-loving, people-pleasing kind of girl. I’m a simple girl who was raised feeding bottle lambs and riding horses, but I like my occasional chi tea and pedicure just to make myself feel fancier than I really am. I love reading and usually you’ll find me with inspirational books. Chocolate is my best friend but I’m all about my morning workout and my green juice.
My ideal session is a fun loving family that isn’t afraid to play outside together and get dirty, or a senior girl with a dozen outfits! If I can capture some genuine moments then my day is made!
Meet Alisha. Her full time gig is banker but she takes a mean portrait as well! Alisha specializes in senior photography and joined our team as an associate photographer in 2018. One of her passions is helping youth as a Young Life leader at a local high school where she gets to pour into others and build meaningful relationships. She loves spending time with family and friends and always has a sweet word to say to bring a smile to your day.
Alisha’s dream session involves gorgeous senior girls or newborn babes. She is one of the sweetest, more genuine people you will meet and her joy for life is contagious.
She says, “Last, but certainly not least, I love Jesus. He is the reason I can find joy in the good, the mundane, and even in the bad. Jesus supplies me with the energy needed to keep up with all the fun and amazing blessings He’s so graciously entrusted me with. My current life verse is Nehemiah 8:6, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” The joy of the Lord truly supplies me with the strength and courage to live the best life possible on this earth. I’d be lost without it.”

What’s not to love about Emily? Emily is as humble and kind as it gets. Her caring heart instantly attracts children and animals alike. For a teenager, Emily is extremely responsible and takes pride in her work. She loves all things dogs (especially her lab Rosie), working out, eating healthy, and okay, she just adores coffee.
Emily is my go-to lady when it comes to Easter mini sessions and really any kind of mini sessions for that matter. In 2018 we had a blast offering watermelon mini sessions for the first time ever. Sunflower sessions are also a favorite of ours, and last year we even found a lavendar field! Emily is one special gal that I’m also proud to call my friend.
We are so excited to welcome Taylor Cooper to our team! Taylor is joining us an associate photographer and is a natural at documenting families. Her background as a preschool teacher and her love for all the kiddos makes her a perfect candidate to photograph your young family. She is married to Logan and has the sweetest little girl.
Taylor says, “We live in a tiny 1940’s fixer upper with our baby girl. We like dessert over dinner, dogs over cats, country over city, and staying in over going out. We’re Chip and Jo wannabes, K-State fans, and we get drive-thru ice cream wayyyy too often. Saved by grace through faith, and without Him we can do nothing.”
Taylor will make you instantly feel at home on your session and you will leave the shoot laughing and having made a new friend—guaranteed!
